Experiences
We involve our learners in a range of experiences that enable them to explore many areas of the curriculum.
Book Character Day is an annual highlight for our tamariki.
Te Tikanga Rua Reo
Our special character bilingual programme offers a national curriculum programme in Te Reo Māori and English. Our aim is for tamariki to be confident in both languages, have a strong identity, and sound understanding of tikanga Māori.
STEM Activites STEM activities (Science Technology Engineering and Math) allow tamariki to find out how things work through fun, hands-on projects preparing them for their techy futures.
Learning Environments
Our design theory focused on our model for inclusive practice enabling us to meet the needs of all learners.
Tuakana Teina
Tuakana/teina refers to the relationship between an older (tuakana) person and a younger (teina) person. Our older children mentor our younger ones (the tuakana has the knowledge and content to pass on to the teina).
Pictured are students who attended school during Alert Level 3. We called this 'Bubble School' and celebrated it ending with a Bubble Parade!
Education Outside
the Classroom
Rich and authentic learning opportunities outside the school setting.
