Welcome to our school website. St Albans School is in the suburb of St Albans, Christchurch, NZ. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Our design theory focused on our model for inclusive practice enabling us to meet the needs of all learners.
We involve our learners in a range of experiences that enable them to explore many areas of the curriculum.
Tuakana/teina refers to the relationship between an older (tuakana) person and a younger (teina) person. Our older children mentor our younger ones (the tuakana has the knowledge and content to pass on to the teina). Pictured are student leaders helping at the PTA's Junior Disco.
Te Tikanga Rua Reo
Our special character bilingual programme offers a national curriculum programme in Te Reo Māori and English. Our aim is for tamariki to be confident in both languages, have a strong identity, and sound understanding of tikanga Māori.
Rich and authentic learning opportunities outside the school setting.
